Marshall won the last time they faced Waterloo and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cardinals walked away with a 68-57 win over the Pirates. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Despite the defeat, Waterloo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aiden Arians posted 17 points and seven rebounds. Arians is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Avery Peachey, who scored nine points along with eight boards and four blocks.

Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Waterloo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Coincidentally, Marshall and Waterloo will both be playing New Glarus the next time they take the court. The Pirates will host the Glarner Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Cardinals will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
