Baseball Recap: Lawrence Triumphs

Lawrence's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Bloomingdale Cardinals with a sharp 12-4 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Joe Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lucas Sinkler, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Steven Pavelek, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
