Soccer Game Preview: Swainsboro vs. Vidalia

The Swainsboro Tigers will square off against the Vidalia Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vidalia took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Swainsboro, who comes in off a win.

Vidalia will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Swainsboro extended their winning streak to three two weeks ago. The Tigers' defense stepped up to hand Toombs County a 1-0 shutout. Swainsboro's winning goal came courtesy of Kayla Crabb.

Meanwhile, Vidalia lost 9-2 to Southeast Bulloch on Friday. While losing is never fun, Vidalia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Southeast Bulloch are ranked 118th).

Vidalia has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Swainsboro, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
