Recap: Beamer Titans vs. Kent-Meridian Royals
This season hasn't been kind to the Beamer Titans, who are still winless after their 13th matchup. They took a hard 50-31 fall against Kent-Meridian on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Beamer of the 37-26 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Beamer lost, one person who can't be blamed is Emma Hoover. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoover has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rania Kabuye, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Beamer's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Kent-Meridian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beamer will face off against Kentlake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kent-Meridian, they will head out on the road to square off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
