Football Recap: Blum Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matchups, Blum finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a blow against Texas Wind, falling 57-8. The game marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Zane Walker had another great game (as he tends to do), picking up 99 receiving yards and one score, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground for Texas Wind. Another player making a difference was Rhys Bonow, who threw for 183 yards and three TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes.

Blum's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Texas Wind, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blum will host Walnut Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Bobcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Texas Wind, they will welcome Austin Royals HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Texas Wind will need to watch out since the Royals have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
