Softball Recap: Holy Cross Has No Trouble Against Presentation

Holy Cross won the last time they faced Presentation and things went their way on Monday too. Holy Cross was the clear victor by an 18-3 margin over Presentation. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Holy Cross got a massive performance out of Lauren Minor, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Minor a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addie McVey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Holy Cross was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .636. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

The win got Holy Cross back to even at 2-2. As for Presentation, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Bullitt at 5:30 p.m. on April 7. As for Presentation, they will be playing at home against Cornerstone Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
