Soccer Recap: Gateway Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Thomas Jefferson, Gateway was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Westminster Wolves by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Olympians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Danna Gutierrez and Sa'Mya Shazier scored both of Gateway's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Gateway now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Westminster, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gateway will take on Rangeview at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Westminster will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arvada West at 7:00 p.m. on March 31st.
