Softball Preview: Governor Mifflin Mustangs vs. Twin Valley Raiders
Governor Mifflin hasn't had much luck against Twin Valley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Raiders at 4:00 p.m.
Governor Mifflin fell victim to Warwick and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Warriors. The game marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.
Meanwhile, Twin Valley had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Tigers.
Erin Cromwell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
