Mercer Island's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elianna Weiss, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Weiss has scored at least 25% of Mercer Island's points. Another player making a difference was Caitlin Monahan, who scored 10 points along with 5 steals.
Juanita's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mercer Island, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Juanita didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mercer Island in their previous meeting back in February, but they still walked away with a 66-62 win. Will Juanita repeat their success, or does Mercer Island have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
