While David Crockett's win against Sullivan East wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pioneers skirted past the Patriots 9-7. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Aj Ford, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Lukas Easterling also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

With the victory, David Crockett broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-12. As for Sullivan East, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
