Jefferson West hadn't done well against Perry-Lecompton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Kaws. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Kaws on Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Jefferson West was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-14, 25-15.

Jefferson West found their leader in sophomore Macy Malone, who had ten digs and three assists. Malone is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Jefferson West has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season. As for Perry-Lecompton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-11.

Coincidentally, Jefferson West and Perry-Lecompton will both be playing Silver Lake the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Kaws will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
