Volleyball Recap: Eldorado Comes Up Short

Eldorado lost against La Cueva on October 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Bears, falling 3-0. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18, 25-15.

Kaylani Calabaza paced Eldorado's offense, picking up six kills. Calabaza got some help from Evelyn Collins and her eight assists.

La Cueva found their leader in freshman Sofia Flores-Gallegos, who had six digs and four aces. With that strong performance, Flores-Gallegos is now averaging an impressive 2 aces per game.

Eldorado's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for La Cueva, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Eldorado has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Santa Fe on the 30th. As for La Cueva, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Capital on the 30th.
