Basketball Recap: St. Stephens Starts off Right with Win over Bunker Hill

St. Stephens gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Bunker Hill Bears with a sharp 75-53 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Indians have posted against the Bears since November 23, 2021.

St. Stephens' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alan Wilson, who posted 12 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jachavis Sherrill, who made all 6 shots he took for 14 points and eight boards.

St. Stephens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 76-34 win against Draughn on the 19th. As for Bunker Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
