Volleyball Recap: Mumford Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Mumford hadn't done well against Shoemaker recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wolves. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won three matches in a row.

Keegan Kleiber paced Mumford's offense, picking up 12 kills. Kleiber got some help from Ashlen Sloan and her 15 assists. Kleiber was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Mumford's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Shoemaker, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Mumford has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Lampasas on the 21st. As for Shoemaker, they will take on Rockdale in a tournament on Thursday.
