Everything went their way against the Fivay Falcons on Tuesday as Lakeside Christian made off with a 19-5 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their one-run performance the match before.

Jeremiah Gooch and Gavin Cappiello made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Gooch tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Meanwhile, Cappiello pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Lakeside Christian's success: when he allows at most three hits the team is 2-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't). At the plate, Gooch scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Cappiello scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
