Football Game Preview: Concordia Prep Saints vs. Gilman Greyhounds

The Concordia Prep Saints will head out on the road to square off against the Gilman Greyhounds at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Concordia Prep nor Gilman posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Concordia Prep is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maryland's top teams: Archbishop Spalding, who was ranked third at the time (Concordia Prep was ranked 22nd). The Saints were outmatched by the Cavaliers and fell 49-10. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Gilman came up short against Mount St. Joseph on Saturday and fell 20-9.

Concordia Prep now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Gilman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Concordia Prep strolled past Gilman when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 18-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
