Softball Game Preview: Madison Comprehensive Rams vs. Dover Crimson Tornadoes

The Madison Comprehensive Rams will challenge the Dover Crimson Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Madison Comprehensive has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight losses, while Dover will come in with 32 straight victories.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Madison Comprehensive nor Marysville made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Rams lost 9-3 to the Monarchs.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Dover ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Conotton Valley 3-2.

Kara Lint spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 18 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ariana Immel was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Olivia McCue, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Dover's win bumped their record up to 20-0. As for Madison Comprehensive, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Madison Comprehensive suffered a grim 16-3 defeat to Dover in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
