Baseball Game Preview: Cabrini Monarchs vs. Lincoln Park Railsplitters

The Cabrini Monarchs will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Lincoln Park Railsplitters at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Cabrini's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Lincoln Park has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Monday just wasn't the day for Cabrini's offense. They fell just short of Shrine Catholic by a score of 1-0 on Monday.

Andrew Ostrowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Park never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 24-0 margin over Henry Ford Academy.

Cabrini's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lincoln Park, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Cabrini was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln Park in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 4-0. Do the Monarchs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Railsplitters turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
