Basketball Game Preview: Straughn Tigers vs. New Brockton Gamecocks

The Straughn Tigers will face off against the New Brockton Gamecocks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Straughn has three straight victories, New Brockton has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Straughn earned a 67-60 win over New Brockton.

It was another big night for Clark Jordan, who went 10 of 13 en route to 26 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Joseph Driver was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Straughn's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-14. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for New Brockton, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.
