Softball Recap: Angleton Comes Up Short

Angleton was the 3-0 winner over Friendswood when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell 4-1 to the Mustangs on Friday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nia Murray made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. She also scored a run, marking her first of the season.

Angleton's loss dropped their record down to 12-12-1. As for Friendswood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Angleton will take on rival Texas City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Friendswood is set to square off against their familiar foe Ball at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
