Dimond had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 5-11 to make it five. They came up short against the South Anchorage Wolverines, falling 24-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-4 last Wednesday.

Dimond saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jalessa Alenepi, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Grace Metcalf also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

As for South Anchorage, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 9-1-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

On South Anchorage's side, the team relied heavily on Adriana Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Jones has posted since back in May of 2025. Molly Stone was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
