Football Recap: Schulenburg Takes a Loss

If Schulenburg was feeling good fresh off their 47-26 takedown of Kenedy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Shorthorns lost to the Weimar Wildcats at home by a 41-26 margin on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Shorthorns of the 27-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Schulenburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Weimar, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Coincidentally, Schulenburg and Weimar will both be playing Ganado the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Shorthorns will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
