Soccer Game Preview: Snohomish vs. Monroe

The Snohomish Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Monroe Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Snohomish's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Snohomish's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shorewood on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Snohomish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Shorewood are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four contests, Monroe finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell just short of Lynnwood by a score of 2-1. That makes it the first time this season Monroe have let down their home crowd.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2-2. As for Snohomish, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9-2.

Snohomish couldn't quite get it done against Monroe in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
