Basketball Game Preview: Centennial Apaches vs. Beverly Hills Normans

Centennial is 0-7 against Beverly Hills since May of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Centennial Apaches will venture away from home to face off against the Beverly Hills Normans at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Centennial will head into Wednesday's contest eager for some revenge after what happened against Hawthorne: Centennial managed to slip by Hawthorne the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Centennial was dealt an 83-47 defeat at the hands of Hawthorne on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Apaches have suffered against the Cougars since April 28, 2021.

Meanwhile, Beverly Hills came up short against Culver City on Wednesday and fell 75-62. While losing is never fun, the Normans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Centaurs are ranked 67th).

Beverly Hills has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.

Things could have been worse for Centennial, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-39 loss to Beverly Hills in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Centennial avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
