Baseball Game Preview: Bartlesville Bruins vs. Muskogee Roughers

For the second straight game, Bartlesville will face off against Muskogee. The Bruins are taking a road trip to square off against the Roughers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Bartlesville fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Muskogee on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Roughers by a score of 7-6. The Bruins' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

For Muskogee's part, Avery Browning made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Those nine strikeouts gave Browning a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Browning wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kylin Blue, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Muskogee's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10. As for Bartlesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.
