Basketball Recap: Meridian Extends Home Winning Streak to 17

Meridian extended their home winning streak to 17 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from AJ Flenoid. The Meridian Bobcats put the hurt on the Vienna Eagles with a sharp 74-53 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Flenoid, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Meridian is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Vienna, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-7.

Meridian has already played their next contest (against Waterloo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Vienna will take on Christopher at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
