Lighthouse Christian Academy had won five straight home games and Miriam Gilbert did her part to make it six on Monday. The Lions walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bloomfield Cardinals with plenty of help from Gilbert, who had 18 digs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.7 digs per game.

Lighthouse Christian Academy was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21, 12-25, 25-22.

Lighthouse Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Bloomfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
