Softball Recap: Green Ridge's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Green Ridge lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Northwest, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Tigers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 12-4 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Green Ridge's third in a row) raised their record to 13-10. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Northwest, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5.

Coming up, Green Ridge will welcome Concordia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Tigers have won three straight at home, while the Fighting Orioles won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
