Palisades entered their tilt with South Mecklenburg on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Sabres. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in March.

The win didn't come easy: South Mecklenburg scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 16-25, 25-21, 26-24.

When it comes to explaining why South Mecklenburg lost, don't look at Phoenix Modie. Despite the final result, he had 15 kills, ten blocks, seven aces, and four digs. Modie has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 13 times he's played. Balen Spry was another key player, getting eight digs and five assists.

Palisades pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for South Mecklenburg, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
