Softball Game Preview: Royse City Bulldogs vs. Tomball Cougars

The Royse City Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Tomball Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Royse City comes in on three and Tomball on 22.

Royse City is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over Horn.

Meanwhile, Tomball won against Willis on Wednesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Wildkats 6-5.

Regina Amaya tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over 6.1 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tomball let Molly Mccormack and Emma Davis run wild. Mccormack went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Davis went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Mccormack is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Royse City's win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Tomball, their win bumped their record up to 28-3.
