Volleyball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King lost against United back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Longhorns.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-15, 25-9.

Anakaren Garcia was a one-woman wrecking crew For United. as she had 20 digs and four aces. Garcia is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlet Figueroa, who had five aces and four digs.

King now has a losing record of 1-2. As for United, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

King will welcome Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for United, they will be taking part in a tournament against Warren at 1:45 p.m. on Friday.
