After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Sanpete, Manti was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Emery Spartans 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Templars have posted since August 19th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Manti got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 18-25, 25-23, 25-27, 16-14.

Manti's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Emery, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Manti will be playing at home against San Juan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Emery, they will head out on the road to take on Union at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
