Softball Recap: Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans vs. Flinthills Mustangs

Cedar Vale/Dexter stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over the Flinthills Mustangs. The victory was familiar territory for Cedar Vale/Dexter who now have eight in a row.

Zoe Davidson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Davidson has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in six consecutive pitching appearances. Davidson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Gracie Webb was excellent, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Edee Boatman, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.

Cedar Vale/Dexter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. As for Flinthills, they dropped their record down to 10-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
