Basketball Recap: Lookeba-Sickles Panthers vs. Granite
After flying high against Gracemont last Friday, Lookeba-Sickles came back down to earth. The Lookeba-Sickles Panthers were dealt a 95-47 loss at the hands of Granite on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 94-31 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
Despite the loss, Lookeba-Sickles saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Braxton Brown went 6 for 12 en route to 17 points. The dominant performance also gave Brown a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%). Ricky Wright was another key player, scoring 12 points.
Lookeba-Sickles' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
