Volleyball Recap: Saltillo Starts off Right with Win over Alcorn Central

Saltillo gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Alcorn Central Bears with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Tigers were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Bears, so the Tigers were just returning the favor.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 26-24.

Alcorn Central's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Coming up, Saltillo is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Pontotoc at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alcorn Central, they will square off against McNairy Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
