Basketball Recap: Keyser Victorious

Keyser won the last time they faced Petersburg and Braylon McGreevy did his part to make sure it happened again. The Golden Tornado were the clear victors by a 71-51 margin over the Vikings on Tuesday for which the team can thank McGreevy, who dropped a double-double with 33 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kyren Garland, who posted six points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Keyser now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Petersburg, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-5.

Keyser has already played their next matchup, a 62-46 victory against Fort Hill on the 18th. As for Petersburg, they will square off against Moorefield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Yellow Jackets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.39 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
