Baseball Game Preview: Valley Vikings vs. Rancho Rams

Valley hasn't had much luck against Rancho recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Rams at 3:30 p.m. Valley has given up an average of 19.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Valley is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 17-0 to Western.

Rancho couldn't beat Durango on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Rams took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trailblazers. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Trailblazers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Rancho saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Layman, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Rancho's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Valley suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Rancho in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
