            Latin hasn't had much luck against De La Salle recently, but that could start to change  on Wednesday. The Romans are taking a road trip to  challenge the Meteors  at 4:30  p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
Latin took a loss when they played away from home  on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Monday. They blew past The Noble Academy 17-1. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Romans this season.
Meanwhile, De La Salle waltzed into their contest  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by  a  13-3 margin over the Mustangs. The Meteors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six  runs or more this season.
De La Salle let  Samara Agredano and  Brianna Gonzalez-Grimaldo run wild. Agredano  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple, while  Gonzalez-Grimaldo  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. That  triple marked the first that  Agredano has  hit this season.  Abby Trendle was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs.
 De La Salle  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berwyn/Cicero Morton struck out eight times.
 De La Salle's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 22-7. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Latin, their record now sits at 5-9.
 Latin suffered a grim  25-0 defeat to De La Salle  when the teams last played  back in May of 2023. Can the Romans avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
