Basketball Recap: Eastern Randolph's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Eastern Randolph had lost three straight headed into Friday's match, but Callie Craven didn't let it get to four. The Eastern Randolph Wildcats put the hurt on the Faith Christian Eagles with a sharp 52-29 victory on Friday thanks in part to Craven, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Kenly Whitaker was another key player, putting up six points in addition to nine rebounds and five assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Eastern Randolph's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Faith Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Eastern Randolph Wildcats take on the Randleman Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Rockwell Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
