Baseball Recap: Center Line Has No Trouble Against Ferndale

Center Line lost to Ferndale back in April of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Panthers have won seven games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Center Line's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Fenger, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The Panthers are 5-1 when Fenger posts two or more runs, but 3-11 otherwise. Another was Garrett Watters, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Center Line's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Ferndale, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Looking ahead, Center Line will challenge Fitzgerald at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. Ferndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
