Basketball Recap: West Jordan Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Jordan can now relate to. They lost to the Timpview Thunderbirds on the road by a 47-32 margin on Thursday.

Despite the loss, West Jordan still got an impressive performance from Giselle Muffett, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Marlee Reupena, who put up six points and five rebounds.

It was another big night for Lina Ballin, who went 7-for-11 en route to 16 points in addition to six assists and five boards for Timpview. Ballin has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Leah Atuaia was another key player, putting up seven points.

West Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Timpview, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-9.

West Jordan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Timpview, they will face off against Wasatch at 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday. Wasatch will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Timpview surely won't give up without a fight.
