Softball Game Preview: Joaquin Rams vs. Timpson Bears

Joaquin is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Timpson is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Rams will welcome the Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Joaquin's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Broaddus with a sharp 10-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly ten runs.

Autumn Webb was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Timpson). They blew past Garrison 37-3 on Tuesday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Timpson's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Joaquin, their win bumped their record up to an identical 16-3.

Joaquin took their victory against Timpson when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
