Baseball Recap: Pacific Grove Comes Up Short

The Pacific Grove Breakers didn't have quite enough to beat the North Monterey County Condors on Monday and fell 5-3. The Breakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pacific Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was River Lyon, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Pacific Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for North Monterey County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.

While Pacific Grove had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
