Baseball Game Preview: Nimitz Cougars vs. Benjamin Davis Falcons

Nimitz hasn't had much luck against Benjamin Davis recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will head out to square off against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Nimitz came up short against Westfield and fell 9-6.

Nimitz got a massive performance out of Andrew Curtis, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was Curtis' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Princeton Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Benjamin Davis had taken Dekaney down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Falcons came up short against the Wildcats, falling 11-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered against the Wildcats since April 29, 2022.

Benjamin Davis saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesus Sanchez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Keion Johnson, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

Nimitz's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Benjamin Davis, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Nimitz suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Benjamin Davis in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
