Basketball Recap: Concord Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Gaston Christian

Concord Academy extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Gaston Christian. They snuck past Gaston Christian with a 56-50 win. Concord Academy hasn't had any issues with Gaston Christian recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Concord Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alek Kornacki, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gray Madeira, who posted five points along with five assists and five steals.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rilpuou Mabor Marier, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards. That's the most points Mabor Marier has posted since back in December of 2024. Cameron Newman was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
