Baseball Game Preview: Purcell Marian Cavaliers vs. Summit Country Day Silver Knights

Purcell Marian is 1-7 against Summit Country Day since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will venture away from home to square off against the Silver Knights at 5:00 p.m. Purcell Marian has given up an average of 13.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meanwhile, Summit Country Day had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Silver Knights haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Purcell Marian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Summit Country Day, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Purcell Marian couldn't quite get it done against Summit Country Day in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
