Volleyball Recap: Rock Hill Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Rock Hill was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northwestern on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bearcats fell just short of the Catawba Ridge Copperheads by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Bearcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Copperheads from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Rock Hill started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 21-25, 25-18, 25-19, 15-6.

Despite the loss, Rock Hill still got an impressive performance from Emma Paat, who had 43 digs and three aces. Heaven Salter also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Rock Hill's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Catawba Ridge, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Rock Hill and Catawba Ridge will both be playing Clover the next time they take the court. The Copperheads will head out to face the Blue Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bearcats will head out to face them at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
