A year after Huggins erupts for 310 yards, St. Joseph Regional holds country's No. 49 recruit in check for stunning New Jersey upset.

A week after its smashing success of an opener against Philadelphia power St. Joseph’s Prep,
St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.) fell back to earth with a 21-17 loss at
St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.) on Saturday.
According to nj.com,
Patrick O'Connor caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from
Christopher Andrews with 35 seconds left for the winning score.
St. Peter’s, which came into the game No. 25 in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 national rankings, opened the season with a resounding 35-7 win over St. Joseph Prep. The Marauders got 127 yards rushing and a touchdown from
Savon Huggins but he was held in check the second half.
That’s when St. Joseph Regional scored 15 unanswered points.
Andrews finished 10 of 18 for 177 yards to lead St. Joseph Regional (2-0), which opened with a 35-6 victory over DePaul.
Last season St. Peter’s thumped St. Joseph Regional 42-19 when Huggins erupted for 310 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Huggins is ranked the No. 49 recruit in the country by MaxPreps.com from the Class of 2011.
