First Baptist Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Golden Gate on Friday. The Lions put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering the Lions have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Easton Hicks was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Will Hedlund, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

First Baptist Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Golden Gate, they dropped their record down to 5-14 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: First Baptist Academy beat the Titans by a score of 12-2 on Tuesday.
