            Softball Recap: Beecher Bobcats vs. Providence Catholic Celtics        
        
		
        
        
            After only two  runs in their last  contest, Beecher made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Providence Catholic  on Thursday. The Bobcats walked away with  a   12-9  win over the Celtics. The Bobcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Celtics, too.
 Ava Lorenzatti made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Lorenzatti was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-5 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news, Beecher got a big performance out of  Elena Kvasnicka, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  Kvasnicka has posted since back in April.  Makenzie Johnson was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with two  runs and one  RBI.

Beecher's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 28-1. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Providence Catholic, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 15-8.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beecher will head out to  face off against Lincoln-Way Central  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Providence Catholic, they will venture away from home to  challenge St. Laurence  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8  runs per game  this season, so the Celtics' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
